An unusual tortoiseshell caddy with wavy form to all sides and canted corners.The shelled sections have a wonderful pattern and colour to them and they are divided with pewter stringing .The base has its original paper and tagua nut ball feet. The interior has two tortoiseshell lids and mother of pearl handles. The original red velvet lining in excellent condition and the top is finished with a central silver cartouche.Circa 1820.Sizes are 7 5/8" wide x 5 1/2" high x 4 3/8" deep.

This is a stunning blonde tortoiseshell caddy with a break front serpentine centre panel. It has an interesting segmented top with small overhanging pagoda centre. The shelled sections have a wonderful pattern and colour to them and they are divided with pewter stringing .The base has its original paper and it has silvered ball feet. The interior has tortoiseshell facings and two lids with the cream velvet lining in excellent condition.Circa 1825.Sizes are 7 1/2' wide x 5 1/2' high x 4 1/4' deep.
